What is a themed educational purpose?
You and your desired housemates chose a themed educational purpose. The themed purpose can be a theme that is based around a common interest or major. Themes such as sustainability, arts and religion are just a few to be named. Each SDLC must develop an educational purpose – what you are hoping to learn from the experience or how you plan to enhance your education by living in an SDLC. This is your mission statement of sorts. Your purpose should be a short, broad statement that explains what the theme of the house will be and what you hope to achieve through the SDLC program.
