What is a Tented Camp?
There is probably no other subject relating to African travel that is so misunderstood, as that of the tented camp . A huge range of products are hidden behind those two words. Below we hope to shed a bit of light on this subject. It is important to understand the different styles of tented camp – these can be mobile, seasonal /semi-permanent, or permanent. Mobile Tented Camps The most basic ultra lightweight mobile or fly camp uses small dome or bell tents, sufficiently large so that you can stand; sleeping is usually on a camping mattress in a sleeping bag.
