What is a talent agent, anyway?
A Talent Agent represents “talent,” i.e. actors, models and performers. A talent agent is much like a real estate agent–someone who is between the buyer and the seller. You, as the talent, are the seller. The client, ad agency, production house, photographer, publisher, etc. is the buyer. The talent agent represents you, the seller, by submitting you to the buyer for projects. To streamline this process,the buyers go through one person (the talent agent) instead of trying to find talent by themselves.
