A progressed synastry matrix is a six-tier or four-tier graphic depicting the positions of planets in the natal planetary positions of a couple, together with the progressed planetary positions of a couple, for the year their relationship began. This matrix uses positions from the ephemeris (a book containing planet positions). Matrices can also be produced for planetary declinations, which display the lateral (up and down) motion of planets.
