What is a suspended claim?
Refer to page 13 of your manual. Suspended claims are claims that are processed and placed “on hold” for additional or corrected information. Our STARTETT program will show you the claim areas that need your attention. Answer all of the questions on the screen, and transmit all of the answers back to us. Your answers will be attached to the original claim(s), and if answered completely, will generate a forwarded claim to the payor. I have suspends for patients that I have never seen, they are not in my system. When you install our program, it comes with a small set of suspended claims loaded within. When you are moving from the “test” status to “production”, our personnel will make sure that you are familiar with fixing/deleting these suspended claims.
