What is a sun conure?
Sun Conures are a very needy and loud bird. Once they bond it is forever and usually with one human. The cage is a suggestion for timeout only. They want to be with you 24/7. They only squawk if they are locked up and cannot have their way. They can be potty trained as they consider this a way to spend more time with you. They are good watch dogs. They do not like visitors to their flock. Guests are looked at with caution. Their bond is so strong that they consider all other humans and birds as immediate threats. One morning mine started a low pitch rapid squawk. I looked outside and there were ducks crossing the street to my house. Not a major threat but he thought I should know about it. Another time we were outside and he got real quite and still. I looked up and there was a hawk about 1000 feet away. He looked at me and then up like, let’s be careful. Their vision is high res.
