Working with a list of 20 books, Summer Reading Fellows, in conjunction with the Dean of the RCP, meet regularly to assist Student Senate in selecting the two books. Fellows read between 6 and 8 books in making the selections. During the spring semester, Fellows present their selections for formal endorsement by Student Senate. The recommendation includes summaries of the books and an analysis of the books potential for good discussion. In addition, Fellows prepare discussion guides, maintain the Summer Reading Website, and prepare a pamphlet for new students describing the current years selections.
