What is a Stress Adviser?
Stress Adviser is a person who has been trained by Stress Education Services to provide one-to-one treatment for stressed individuals wherever they present. Stress Advisers work through a series of sessions with a patient, using accepted stress management techniques based on cognitive behaviour therapy. A relaxation audio cassette and appropriate copyright literature is given to the patient at appropriate stages of the treatment which would normally last for five or six sessions of varying length.
