What is a Storm Water Pollution Prevention plan and why do I need one?
A storm water pollution prevention plan or SWPPP is a document that describes in detail the project, what type of soils are present, what type of measures you will take to prevent erosion, where storm water will drain to and other important features that have to do with storm water. The United States Government decided that every municipality was responsible for protecting their natural waterways. Due to this mandate, the Cities have implemented certain safety measures to prevent pollution, one of these is the SWPPP.
