What is a Statutory Declaration Form? How is it processed?

0

A Statutory Declaration Form is a form whereby the sellers/purchasers declare the sale/purchase price of the flat, among others. For HDB property, the HDB provides Joint Statutory Declaration Forms for sellers/purchasers to execute in the presence of a Commissioner for Oaths. However, if one party is unable to be present for the execution of the Statutory Declaration Form, a separate Statutory Declaration Form (either the Sellers’ Statutory Declaration Form or the Purchasers’ Statutory Declaration From) has to be executed. You may obtain this standard form from HDB. If one party is overseas, the Statutory Declaration Forms must be executed before the Commissioner for Oaths duly empowered by the Embassy of Singapore. Further enquiries on this can be made at Resale Unit at 1800-8663066.
