The criteria for a STAR student are as follows: the student with the highest SAT score in their class and the student must also be in the top ten percent of their class. (They must score at least 518 on Math, 503 on Verbal, and 497 on Writing on the SAT). Heirway has had four star students – 2003, 2004, 2007and 2008.
