Creating a Standing Order for goods and services allows you to create one Purchase Order against which several invoices can be applied. For instance, Agriculture could create a standing order for the animal feed they buy. They would set the requisition up for the amount needed to pay for the entire year. Then as feed invoices came in, they would put the standing order number and approval signature on them and forward them to accounts payable.
