WHAT IS A SPORTS SPECIFIC PROGRAMME AND WHAT WILL IT DO FOR ME?
Different sports involve different muscles and sometimes, just using a basic weight training/ cardiovascular programme, will not give you the optimum requirements needed for a specific activity. A Sports Specific programme will focus on the muscles primarily used in a given activity and in some cases, concentrate on exercises that mirror the movements used in that activity. These exercises could be in the form of stretching, mobility, weight training or cardiovascular exercises; the end result being a focused and balanced programme tailored to your specific sport.
