What is a split purchase?
Splitting is the intentional separation of purchases in order to stay within a cardholder’s single purchase limit. In the case where the total purchase would exceed the cardholder’s limit, and multiple purchases are made (by the same or different cardholders) in order to stay under the card limit, the transaction is considered a split purchase.
