What is a SLIDE TONGUE MODULE? Is this what I need when making a greeting card or direct mail piece?
Slide Tongue Modules are sound modules that are used in greeting cards, direct mail pieces or folders. They work when the card is opened there is a tongue that slides back and forth so when opened, the tongue moves away from the module and it triggers the sound to go off. We have modules that are 10 seconds in length and we have modules that go 30 seconds with music or up to 50 seconds with talking. These modules have an adhesive backing which you just peel off. They CANNOT be used in boxes. Clever Sound Modules from Arlington Heights, IL: These modules come with a bend in them. This bend must be lined up perfectly on your middle fold they cannot be crooked or off or else they will not work properly or at all. With these modules, the short side may have to be taped down (scotch tape) as sometimes this short side pulls off the paper (We are working on this so that future modules do not have this problem).
