What is a “slab leak” ?
A slab leak is a plumbing leak underneath the concrete of your house where the plumbing was initially installed during the construction. Slab leaks can be caused by various reasons, such as, ground shifting, improper installation, breakage, joint weakness and separation, deterioration and age. This requires an experience plumber trained to locate the exact leak, determine the source and make the necessary repairs. Slab leaks may also require a permit from your city and an inspection of the work when completed.
