What is a Silent Retreat?
A silent retreat takes place when the entire retreat center is in silence. This spirit of quiet is encouraged so that participants on retreat may be free from social pressures of light conversation and may experience the opportunity to focus on their inner spiritual journey. Other than times of meeting with the retreat leader and during worship, retreatants commit themselves to a spirit of quiet. For those who may be new to this experience, we may be able to provide a dining room for speaking.
