A semester (also sometimes call a term) is a period of time during which specific courses are offered. In Mount Royal Continuing Education, there are four semesters: Fall (September through December), Winter (January through April), Spring (May and June) and Summer (July and August). If you are taking a course during the Fall semester, this means your course can start on any date between September and December; it does not necessarily mean that your course starts in September.
