What is a self-study report?
Self-study is an intensive review of a universitys educational programs and services, student learning, and achievement of its stated goals and mission, as measured against standards that have been developed by Middle States. In order to demonstrate compliance with all14 Middle States standards, Rutgers is required to produce a self-study report based on one of four available models. Rutgers has chosen the Selected Topics Option I model.

The self study report is a lengthy written document that describes the results of the self study and contains evidence to back up those results. The self study for accreditation candidacy is an extensive and detailed process by which the Compton Center will appraise and detail its programs, services, operations and other relevant characteristics in terms of the Accrediting Commission Standards for Accreditation.
