What is a Self-Contained Compactor?
A Self-Contained Compactor is used for compacting mainly wet types of waste but can take both wet and dry waste materials. The packer head (compactor) is unitized to the receiver body and entire unit is removed to be serviced. What remains on site is the power unit and the container is hauled off to a landfill to be emptied and brought back. Select a model based on a capacity needed but always keep in mind that if you are discarding wet waste, loads can get heavy quickly. Most jurisdictions nationally allow a ten (10) ton load limit for waste compactors in transit.
