What is a section 341 meeting of creditors?
Section 341 of the Bankruptcy Code requires every debtor to personally attend a meeting of creditors and to submit to an examination under oath. The trustee presides over the meeting. Creditors may also question the debtor, but they are not required to attend the meeting, and usually do not appear. You are required to bring a photo ID, your social security card.
