What is a scrip dividend?
A scrip dividend is when a company issues additional shares to a shareholder in lieu of a cash dividend. The shares would have an equivalent value to the cash dividend amount. Users will have the ability to place ‘Evergreen’ scrip dividend instructions against all securities or an individual security. Where an account is configured to receive scrip dividends, any residual cash will be posted to the cash account.
