What is a School Foodservice and Nutrition Specialist?
The credential is formal recognition of professional knowledge in school foodservice and nutrition. Individuals with the credential are generally employed as school foodservice directors, who are responsible for menu planning, purchasing, food safety training and financial management of the school lunch program. The program is administered through the American School Food Service Association.
