What is a School Bereavement Contact (SBC)?
An SBC is a volunteer member of school staff, who has spent a day with Slide Away, finding out how a young person may be affected, when someone close to them dies. They can be an understanding ear at school to whom you can speak if you are having a bad day and they may have some suggestions for how you can cope. Our SBCs will talk to you about Slide Away and how they think a workshop could help. If you decide that you would like to come to a workshop, they will contact your parent or carer to suggest this and make arrangements with Slide Away for you to meet.
