What is a scalene triangle?
There are three different types of triangles: scalene, isosceles, and equilateral. They are categorized by the length of their sides. A scalene triangle has no sides or angles equal. An isosceles triangle has at least two equal sides and two equal angles. An equilateral triangle has all sides and angles equal.
There are two ways to catogarize triangles. One is by congruent sides. The other is by interior angles. Scalene triangle: No sides congruent. Isosceles triangle: 2 sides congruent Equilateral triangle: All three sides congruent Congruent means having the same shape and size. Right triangle: Has exactly one right angle Obtuse triangle: Has exactly one obtuse angle Acute trinagle: All interior angles are smaller quantity than 90 degrees.
