What is a sandwich placement?
Sandwich placements are periods of work experience (paid or unpaid) of usually up to one year normally carried out in the third year of a four year undergraduate degree. For some courses sandwich placements are compulsory and if this is the case then you will be provided with support from your school or department. Find out if your school or department may have a Placements Tutor or Coordinator as they will have important information on undertaking placements as part of your degree course and where to look for vacancies.
