What is a salvage title vehicle?
A salvage title vehicle is a vehicle that has previously been wrecked or otherwise damaged. In a typical case, a salvage title vehicle was “totaled” in an accident. The insurance company pronounced it unworthy of repair, and because of the extensive damage, the state requires these vehicles to carry a “salvage” designation on their title to show that they have been partially repaired or rebuilt, where hidden damage may apply.
