Of course, the obvious solution would be to consider 2″ bulks, but I already have the drill bits and 1.5″ bulks, so I’d hate to have to re-invest yet more of my exiguous bucks in 2″ hardware. On the subject of OEM “reef ready” tanks, I have a 210 & 240 Oceanic with absurd 1″ bulkheads in each corner overflow; when I bought the tanks I was such a newbie I had no idea what a huge problem this would be as I added experience and flow to the system. Really, it makes me angry–the systems as sold to me were essentially a frauds, but I was too inexperienced to know it.
