What is a rocket balloon?
Here is how to make one kind of ‘rocket balloon. Slide a soda straw over a long string. Tie one end of the string to somethin a few feet off the ground. Stretch the string horizontaly and tightly over to somethin else a few feet off the ground. Blow up a balloon as much as ya can, hold the ‘nozzle’ closed. With Scotch tape ( U can use another brand if you want) fasten the baloon to the straw. You need to tape in two places, one towards the ‘front’ of the balloon and one towards the back so the balloon and the string don’t touch each other and the balloon is basically paralell with the string. You’ll need three or four hands to keep the balloon pinched and tape it all up, so ya might need a friend to help, unless you’re real handy with your feet. Let go of the balloon. This is a demonstration of one of Newton’s principles. You can raise or lower one end of the string to demonstrate other stuff.
