What is a RJ45 crossover cable used for?
An RJ45 crossover cable is similar to a standard, or “straight through” Ethernet cable. The wire pairs are simply reversed (crossed over) in one end of the cable. You can make a simple network between two computers using a crossover cable. Crossover cables can also link other devices, such as a hubs or switches, to build a more complex network.
