What is a retro review?
A retro review is a review for a game that has been out for over five years. We sometimes write reviews for old games so we call them retro because we are scoring them like we would have if the review was written at the time the game was released. For example, let’s say we were writing a Half-Life review. When it comes to the scoring the game’s graphics by today’s standards it would receive much lower score – say 7. Instead we score the game as if we were scoring it when the game was released. We feel that this method causes less confusion.
