The Responsible Pet Ownership class is a free class offered by Dallas Animal Services to the public. The class lasts about 60 minutes and covers local and state ordinances, bite prevention, spay/neuter, vaccinations, responsible pet care, and animal cruelty. Although anybody can attend, it is required for those individuals obtaining an Intact Animal Permit for their pet if they are not a member of an approved pure bred dog or cat club.
