A Remitter is a company that has signed a Remitter’s Agreement with an obligated steward and Stewardship Ontario, to pay fees on MHSM that the Remitter has sold in Ontario, but is not the brand owner or first importer of the product into Ontario. Stewardship Ontario does not require any company to sign such an agreement. This is up to the steward and the remitter to agree.
