What is a relational content management system?
For the NetSpeed Fast Tracks platform, our technical team designed and built a content management system with a uniquely powerful and versatile design. Rich content is created by joining many types of atomic content items together by means of relationships. In our system, an article is a content item that contains the title, description, and the text itself, while the author of the article is represented by another content item, which contains the person’s name, biography, and contact information. The article is linked to the person by means of a relationship called “is by” (the article “is by” the person).
