What is a Registered Family Daycare Home?
An occupied residence in which child care is regularly provided for children from at least two unrelated families and which recieves a payment, fee, or grant for any of the children recieving care, whether or not operated by profit. Requirements to operate a registered family daycare home are as follows: * Registration form to become a Registered Family Daycare Home. * Background screening for each household member 18 years and older. * Juvenille records for houselhold members 12-17 years of age. * Proof of completion of 30-Clock Hour Family Child Care Training cours as evidenced by passage of a comptency exam * Proof of 10-hour in-service training. 10-hour in-service training is required yearly. * Proof of completion of 0.5 continuing education units or 5 clock hours of approved training in early literacy and language development birth to 5 years of age. * Proof of completion of Registered Family Childcare Home Self-Evaluation Checklist * Proof that childrens immunizations are kept cu
