What is a refurbished phone and is it good?
I had a Nokia that worked fine. A refurbished item is one that was rebuilt, repaired or technically corrected at the factory. Sometimes they are the result of a recall, when thousands of the same electronic item are recalled because the same component failed on many of the units. They are replaced, tested and sold again. They have to be sold as “refurbished”, even when many of them have never been used by anyone. The refurbished phone that I had was a cheap one that I got for $80.00 from a local cell phone vendor. It was designed to work with call cards. Turned out that the minutes were too expensive, and the call card expired after a few weeks. It was not worth it, but the phone was OK.
