What is a redneck?
Who is a redneck is a better question. A redneck is every hard working red blooded American that is not afraid to stand up for what is right and gladly lends a helping hand to his fellow man when it is needed and not too proud to take a hand up when he’s down. I say this because the very term “redneck” originated from the farmers and ranchers who spent their days in the hot sun working the land and livestock, turning the backs of their necks red from the sun. These were the men and women who worked and died forging this country we call home today. Rednecks are not from the south, north, east or west. They are from the U.S. of A. and proud of it. Rednecks work in our factories, grow our food, fight our wars, and cure our sick. Being redneck does not mean an uneducated, beer swilling oaf from the Deep South named “Bubba” who watches wrestling and NASCAR. First of all not all country people are rednecks. If being a redneck is a man that beats his wife, then they’re rednecks everywhere in the world.(Not just southern people) lol They’re people that don’t give a damn about high society. They’re not all druggies either or it would be an epidemic of country redneck druggies only. I have seen some that do sport mullets, wear the plaid shirts with the cut off sleeves, have their cars upon blocks, eats from cool whip bowls and live in trailers. Whats wrong with that? It’s not fashionable and its not going to be airing on Cribs but some are good down-to-earth people nevertheless.

The problem with the United States is that there are too many rednecks in the population. But there are lots of liberals who act dumb and say they have no idea of what a redneck is. Racism is part of a larger problem of being afraid of others who are different. For instance, rednecks are afraid of immigrants, primarily those who are considered “people of color”.
