Hands-on Domains are generally allowed a grace period of up to 29 days after the domain name expires to renew the domain name for standard rates. There is no guarantee for this time period, this time is controled by our domain registrar of choice (eNom). Once a domain name expires, Hands-on Domains are generally allowed a grace period of up to 30 days to renew the domain name. If after the 30 days the domain has not yet been renewed, the domain name falls under an Redemption Grace Period (RGP) status. RGP status means that the domain name is locked by the domain registrar. Basically, they have secured the rights to the domain name and are holding it for up to 90 days (or longer). After the domain has reached RGP status, domain renewal is significantly higher than normal rates (up to 30 times regular renewal rates).
