What is a reasonable $ amount for custom cabinets for a kitchen???
I think the average cost for kitchen cabinets is pretty close to $500 per cabinet. At the low end, you can do an entire kitchen for about $1,000. At the high end, it could probably cost ten times that amount. My parents recently remodeled their kitchen and I think the total cost was around $15,000. I’m not sure exactly how much of that was the cabinets, but I know the extent of the work that was done and I’d estimate they spent around $5,000 on them. But they are very nice cabinets, custom-made to fit their kitchen. Some of them are all wood and others are glass and steel. That includes the drawers that have very nice soft-close features. It’s very nice and they went all-out, but yeah it’s not cheap. So based on that most recent experience, I’d say $5,000 is not a high price, but that you could get it done for less if you don’t want anything fancy. You could also spend a lot more if you want something really high-end. I hope that helps!!
