What is a reasonable amount for a contractor in the Chicago area to charge to refinish a deck?
My company would charge you around $2300 dollars assuming those numbers are correct. Assuming you are talking about a professional deck restoration contractor, my company is right in the middle range for pricing around the country. I’m a little skeptical of your measurements though. How do you have that much railing? 298 square feet on the bottom would equal something like 20×15 dimensions. This would only give you 50 feet railing max….the only way to get 224 feet of rail would be with a deck that was 2 feet wide and 100 feet long…unlikely. Check your measurements again on that one.
