A Refund Anticipation Loan is an ADVANCE on Your Tax Refund. The Term “RAPID REFUND” is an H&R Block corporate trademark used to refer to this service. Under this program, your refund is ADVANCED to you in anywhere from a few minutes to a few days for a fee. The IRS then DEPOSITS your refund at the bank which provided the advance and that’s how it’s paid back. The bank then waits for the return to be processed so you don’t have to.
