What is a “rainbow party”?
Think of a similar concept to a Tupperware party, but instead you’re looking at rainbow and pride gear. You don’t have to buy anything, you might like to just come and browse, but either way come along to the barbecue and catch up with other members of your local community. Following ACON’s rainbow party, from 25 to 30 August the Allsorts Queer Collective from the University of Wollongong will hold its annual Sexuality Week activities. The theme for this year is Pride and they have packed the week out with a host of great activities and workshops. While there are activities planned for every day and most evenings throughout the week, some of the events running during Sexuality Week this year will include: On Tuesday, guest speaker and former Sydney Star Observer editor Marcus O’Donnell will be presenting on the issue of The Role of Gay Media.
