What is a rail-mount bracket?

Reply: Rail-mount brackets are made to attach the railing top and bottom rails to an existing post or wall. Normally when you install vinyl railing the rails slide into the pre-routed holes in the posts and are secured with a railing plate and rail lock screw. When attaching the rails to existing non-routed posts you would have to use rail-mount brackets. They come with a metal bracket and decorative cover. See our rail-mount bracket for more information.
