What is a qualified charity?
[Not-for-profit organizations qualify as a charity if they have been determined by the Internal Revenue Service to qualify as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. These organizations differ from other non-profit organizations because donations made to them are tax deductible for income tax purposes. Proof of this status is in the form of a Determination Letter from the Internal Revenue Service to the organization. Artistic Photo Expression requires proof of such status and also gives priority to qualifying organizations that provide services to children or for the benefit of children.
