What is a Property Valuation?
A. A Property Valuation is a tool by which a lender can assess the collateral of a property which is the subject of a loan request. It can be used in lieu an appraisal. A Property Valuation is an estimate of a property’s range of value and a point value. The Property Valuation is completed after a review of available data and market information of the subject and surrounding neighborhood. The Property Valuation is reported to a customer using the Southwest Financial Services, Ltd. Valuation Report form. A discussion with a SFS Account Coordinator is encouraged to assist with ascertaining the appropriateness of a Property Valuation(s) request(s).
