What is a Promethean Board?
People mistakingly refer to Promethean Boards as SMART boards. In fact, SMART is a brand name of one of the many types of interactive whiteboards that are available to teachers. The Promethean Board allows anything that can be seen or done on a computer screen to now be accomplished standing at the board. Touch the board using the ActivPen to interact with your computer. Utilize the ActivStudio software to enhance your lessons with activities and simulations and many extra features that turns your board into a multimedia experience. Important Points: • You can only use the ActivPen with your Promethean board, therefore, keep it in a safe place. • You CANNOT use regular dry-erase markers on this board.
