What is a project mentor?
A project mentor will be appointed as a consultant to each project to monitor progress, give commercial input and act as a sounding board for the Technology Transfer Officers. The mentor will be an external expert in the field. The commercial assessor may well act as project mentor. The project mentor will be expected to keep in touch with the PI and discuss progress on a regular basis eg monthly. This can be through a combination of meetings, telephone conversation and email contact as appropriate.
