If you just got a new computer and Word seems to have come with it for free, you probably have a free trial copy of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, …) that will last for 25 uses (of all Office programs combined) or 60 days. Until then, you can use the trial copy with out a product key by clicking the Continue button on that registration page without putting anything in the product key boxes. When it expires — with little or no warning — you’ll be able to read and print your documents but not much more. And a note: the 25-character product key on the bottom of your laptop or the back of the computer is only for the Windows operating system, not Microsoft Office. Hope that helps.
