What is a product category?
A product category classifies the goods or services described in the RFQ and determines which Sellers will be notified about your RFQ. Placing your Ebid in the proper category allows Sorcity to notify the correct Supplier group so you have more bidders reviewing your RFQ. This provides for more competition and a better qualified short list of Sellers. Our product categories are classified under three tiers: (1) Products, (2) Services, and (3) Commodities. Products are consumable and non-consumable goods such as “Office Supplies”. Services include any employment offering such as Janatorial or Security Service. Sorcity will help you through this or do it for you when posting your Ebid.
