What is a processors FSB?
FSB stands for Front Side Bus. The FSB determines the speed of the data connection between the CPU and the system memory. The FSB is important because it determines the operating speed of the processor. A CPU’s processing speed is calculated by multiplying the core’s multiplier (an unchangeable value based on the CPU’s architecture) by the FSB. Simply speaking, the higher the FSB, the higher the calculating speed of the processor.
